Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Manager Supply Chain 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in San Diego, California. Hybrid work can be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of planning specialists who are responsible for planning, procuring, tracking and receiving material in support of the Network Solutions Business Unit.
     
  • Train and guide employees in keeping with all Northrop Grumman Values.
     
  • Serve as program-facing supply chain lead for monthly business rhythm meetings such as the Business Area Review (BAR), Intranet Program Review System (IPRS), Internal Program Reviews (IPMR's), etc.
     
  • Gather, report and ensure accuracy of financial forecasting data as it pertains to supply chain content including material receipts and estimates at completion (EAC's).
     
  • Lead the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 
     
  • Lead supply chain risk and opportunity management strategies.
     
  • Work with suppliers to develop strategic relationships, resolve issues and drive high levels of performance in cost, quality and schedule.
     
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years or master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in either supply chain, business management or closely related.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Ability to regularly present information to senior level leadership.
     
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
     
  • Passion for leading teams, problem solving and collaboration.
     
  • Ability to create and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory position.
     
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) certification.
     
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience, especially SAP.

Salary Range: $122,200 USD - $183,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
