 Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist for our Chandler, Arizona location.

Responsible for supporting Procurement commodity team with various supply chain related tasks.  Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to:

  • Interface with Suppliers for Purchase Order delivery status and oversight that includes but is not limited to, sending Weekly Open Order Report to Suppliers, maintain current Purchase Order delivery dates, provide status to other functions for Program visibility, request and track part milestone schedule and closeout any administrative Purchase Order actions.
  • Conduct and lead Weekly/Bi-Weekly status meetings with Suppliers and other Global Supply Chain functions.
  • Interface and collaborate with Buyer, Programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain
  • Ability to plan schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objectives
  • Person should possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be extremely organized.
Qualifications - External

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years' of experience in Global Supply Chain, Purchasing/Procurement, Operations, and/or Business; 8 years’ with Master's. 14 years' of experience in lieu of degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience within the Aerospace or Aviation industry
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off of work.


Salary Range: $84,100 USD - $126,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
