Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager, Procurement 3 to support our Global Supply Chain Procurement team based in Melbourne, Florida. This position may work part time in a telework and hybrid capacity but should be primarily based within commuting distance to the offices to meet program and team needs.

The Manager in this role will be responsible for the direct supervision and management of their delegated staff. The Manager’s team will consist of up to three Managers as direct reports with an overall organization of approximately 30 who will support in Procurement activities across multiple commodities, primarily focused in support of our Global Surveillance Division. 

In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Must be Proficient in the procurement process, including but not limited to source selection, price analysis, negotiations, risk management
  • The preferred candidate should possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be extremely organized
  • Can quickly identify and communicate risk and opportunity
  • Have a clear understanding of established processes and procedures
  • Possess the ability to align team goals to Sector and Division objectives
  • Effectively manage a supply base: Evaluate supplier delivery, quality, and cost performance
  • Develop and maintain Strategic Supplier relationships
  • Supervise release of RFQs for LTA and high-dollar purchase requisitions
  • Execute negotiations of LTAs and high-dollar contracts
  • Identify opportunity for cross Divisional strategies
  • Build and develop a geographic diverse and remote team
  • Ability to understand engineering practices and work within the technology arena to further the connection between the technology roadmaps and Global Supply Chain
  • Ability to plan schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objectives

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 9+ years’ experience, Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years’ experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years’ experience. Related experience should be primarily focused around aerospace engineering, business management, program management, subcontracts administration, purchasing, procurement, or global supply chain.
  • 1+ year of experience leading others, supervisory, or team leadership
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations, DFARs and terms and conditions
  • Must have ability to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters in Supply Chain Management
  • International Buying Certification
  • Leadership development certification
  • Ability to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while demonstrating core values of company
  • Project Management experience with a clear understanding of establishing and maintaining schedules
  • Experience building and/or leading teams, interacting with multifunctional roles/department
  • Leadership and people management skills with the ability to model and promote a strong sense of engagement, teamwork and cooperation
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
  • Budgeting experience and EVM knowledge
  • Solid understanding of engineering/technical requirements.

Salary ranges will be dependent upon where the position is based and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position. Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience.

Salary Range: $125,700 USD - $188,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
