Associate Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our team.

Roles and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :

• Expedites contracts for materials or services by following up on due dates, ensuring material receiving documentation is correct, and updating the ERP system to reflect the status of procurements.
• Sources and procures goods and services of a category nature from many suppliers.
  Initiates requests for quotations and proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers.
• Establishes firm fixed price agreements with suppliers.  
  In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.
• Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.
• Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
• Issues purchase orders.
• Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) principals and operating procedures including import/export regulations.
• Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
• Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation and warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.
• Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed.

  This position requires travel up to 25% of the time
  
   

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in supply chain or similar field of study
  Associate's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of supply chain experience
  4 years of work related experience in supply chain in lieu of degree
  
  Preferred Qualifications
• Experience procuring raw materials such as electronics, adhesives, tapes, or chemicals and hazardous materials
• Ability to read technical drawings and documents
• Knowledge of government contracting requirements and regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS, ITAR, etc.)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $45,500 USD - $68,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
