Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems Sector is currently hiring a Supply Chain Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals in the GSC Planning, Requirements & Delivery organization. This position ideally will be located in Palmdale, CA; but may be able to be based in our El Segundo, CA office.

In this role, the selected candidate will:

  • Ensure vertical and horizontal integration of Global Supply Chain Schedules through strategic planning and execution
  • Provide early visibility into industry constraints and supplier performance hindering our ability to meet/exceed our contractual commitments
  • Integrate metrics requirements for the Requirements Planning Team
  • Communicate program schedule deviations and ensure all impacts are coordinated with internal/external customers prior to implementation and execution
  • Identify industry constraints driving schedule impacts in our supply base and incorporate mitigation plans to strategically partner with our external suppliers to be successful
  • Lead a team of individuals in a dynamic, fast-paced Program environment with responsibilities including rapid requirements execution, standard parts ordering, scrap/spare/replacement planning and serve as a GSC liaison to the Program Operations and GSC Execution IPTs

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years’ of related professional and/or military experience that includes a background in Supply Chain, OR a Master’s degree AND 3 years’ of related professional and/or military experience that includes a background in Supply Chain, OR a High School Diploma/GED AND 9 years’ of related professional and/or military experience that includes a background in Supply Chain.
  • Must have at least 1 year prior experience leading a team, project or process.
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience with SAP systems and Bills of Materials.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years) (to apply/start).
  • Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration
  • Experience with Advanced Planning and Material Requirements Planning
  • Current Special Program Access

This position reports to Palmdale, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from El Segundo, CA, CA, USA.


Salary Range: $122,200 USD - $183,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
