Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Material Analyst 2 to join the Global Supply Chain Operations organization of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA. This position directly supports the Commodity Engineering Team (CET) which is responsible for supply base technical management related to the acquisition of Space mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical hardware.

This high visibility position requires a motivated, self-starter with Global Supply Chain and Supplier Management background and excellent interpersonal skills to respond to program customer product needs and concerns.

Candidate will be responsible for managing technical activities between suppliers and responsible Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Quality, and program support functions related to technical issues and supplier onboarding.

The candidate will also be involved supporting the wider Global Supply Chain organization and will thrive in a small, high performance team environment.

Candidate must be very detailed oriented with demonstrated ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with varying levels of program customers, functional organization stakeholders, and management.

Responsibilities primarily include, but not limited to

  • administering Requests for Change and Information (RC/Is) for suppliers
  • coordinating/facilitating the onboarding and qualification of new suppliers
  • pulse assigned engineers to disposition requests, gather information and coordinate with cognizant engineers to expedite the processing of change orders
  • develop automation templates to report out metrics
  • training others on the processes

Travel required up to 10%.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of relatable experience; OR 1 year of relatable experience with a Master’s Degree
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
  • Experience working with engineers and technical disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience using web-based applications, Windows software packages, and other electronic databases
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of FAR & DFAR requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems requirements
  • Demonstrated experience to formulate and execute solutions to assigning tasks and developing report

Salary Range: $70,200 USD - $105,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
