Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist who is experienced in supply chain management and is a motivated self-starter to support the Long-Range Air Defense & Detection Systems Operating Unit. Position will work with International customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage on time req release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule.
- Manage material budget for contract requirements. Supporting baselining/EVMS requirements.
- Manage/report and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s) (Cognos, CMEs, IPRS)
- Identify and manage program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements.
- Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
- Monitor and address supplier capacity and/or production issues.
- Maintain strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment that consists of leading-edge technology suppliers.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with at least 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program/Project Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
- Experience working in Global Supply Chain.
- Proficient with SAP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Proficient in supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, and supplier/program/product scheduling.
- Experience with Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR and FAR/DFARS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning
- Proficient in Earned Value Management Systems
- Control Account Manager (CAM) certification
- Experience with International Procurement, Import/Export procedures, and International Trade Compliance
- Familiarity with 3 Element Supplier Management
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
