Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 2) or Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 3) to join our team in Linthicum, MD. PT remote work may be available.

The Global Supply Chain Finance position will work in coordination with other Supply Chain Planners to track program material costs, accurately forecast material receipts, and create Current Material Estimates (CME). 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating a material baseline and working with Business Management to meet monthly Earned Value requirements including monthly performance, ETC spreads, variance explanations, and identifying and implementing corrective actions as necessary

  • Responsible for working with other planners, engineers, and program representatives to forecast material costs

  • Responsible for understanding material cost variances and determining root causes and corrective actions for the variances

This role will support programs in the Strategic Force Programs (SFP) portfolio in the Space Sector. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of experience; 1 year with a Master’s for a level 2

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience; 4 years with a Master’s for a level 3

  • Requires a basic understanding of Supply Chain including reading purchase orders, the processes related to buying and receiving material, target pricing, and MRP

  • Advanced Excel skills are required

  • Proficient in Earned Value measurement techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Material Cost Account Visibility (MCAV) tool is a plus. 


Salary Range: $67,000 USD - $100,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
