In summary, this role functions as a material/supplier focused Program Manager with responsibilities ranging from material budgets to supplier management. A person working this role will be expected to manage supply chain activities from development to production while also tracking and forecasting material and labor budgets. This includes regular forecasting on program material expenditure, labor and overall schedule performance using Earned Value Management. As a Supply Chain Planner you are in charge of working/managing cross-functional teams to ensure suppliers execute in alignment with program schedule, engineering requirements and your material budget. This position can be hired at either a level 3 or a level 4. This position will be worked out of our Philadelphia PA NG facility with a hybrid option.

Roles and Responsibilities
 

  • Ensures consistent Material Finance reporting on program material
  • Responsible for working with other planners, engineers, and program representatives to forecast material costs.
  • Responsible for creating a material baseline and working with Business Management to meet monthly Earned Value requirements, variance reporting, and root cause and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for providing monthly Current Material Estimates at completions (CME's)
  • Produces and publishes monthly material receipts forecasts
  • Analyzes and aggregates supply/demand requirements
  • Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products
  • Participates in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management
  • Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools
  • Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements
  • Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments
  • Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs
  • Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed
  • Communicates with suppliers for lead times and delivery times. Actively works and communicates to resolve issues
  • Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts
  • Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements

Basic qualifications for a level 3:

- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of supply chain and/or business management or a Master’s Degree and 4+ years of supply chain and/or business management

U.S. Citizenship is required

- The ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is preferred

- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel

- Proficient in the use of SAP

- Demonstrate success in managing complex problems related to program execution

Preferred Qualifications:

- Financial background

- Program Management Team

- Earned Value Management, Return To Greens, Forecasting and Variance Analysis

Basic qualifications for a level 4:

- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of supply chain and/or business management or a Master’s Degree and 8+ years of supply chain and/or business management

- U.S. Citizenship is required

- The ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is preferred

- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel

- Proficient in the use of SAP

- Demonstrate success in managing complex problems related to program execution

Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD
Salary Range 2: $107,000 USD - $160,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
