Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sector Strategic Sourcing Analyst Level 2 or Level 3 to join our Sector Strategic Sourcing Team. This position may be located in Baltimore, MD, Dulles, VA, Roy, UT, Redondo Beach, CA or Chandler, AZ. Part time remote work may be available.

Position Summary / Responsibilities:


The Sector Strategic Sourcing Analyst role within the Sector Strategic Sourcing organization is a collaborative role responsible for the development and implementation of advanced supply chain strategies in support of technology maturation, operational deployment and program performance.  The role will focus on category and sourcing analysis to inform strategies to drive supplier performance improvements and data-driven, timely decision making.  This position will interface with all Divisions and Enterprise to support continued improvement of category and sourcing intelligence information.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supports sector Strategic Sourcing Team on data analysis and visualization as well as supporting projects and action plans to meet or exceed sector GSC objectives

  • Gather, analyze and distribute category and sourcing intelligence:

    • Continuously evaluate and monitor industry and supplier trends and provide insight on potential future direction

    • Risk identification and awareness

    • Supplier spend and financial analysis

    • Supplier performance and trend analyses

    • Identification of opportunities for strategic collaboration agreements

  • Support special projects within Sector Strategic Sourcing Team, as needed

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors' Degree

  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance

  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated success/problem solving skills in Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations, Logistics, Engineering or Program Management; 1 year with a Master’s for a level 2

  • Minimum of 6 years demonstrated success/problem solving skills in Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations, Logistics, Engineering or Program Management; 4 years with a Master’s for a level 3

  • Demonstrated capability and success in understanding metrics, data management and overall business analytics process and tools

  • Experience with SAP and/or CostPoint

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of data analytic applications and concepts

  • Experience with sourcing activities, including source selection, high-level capacity and capability analysis, and alternate sourcing

  • Experience with Supply Chain policies, processes, tools, regulations and protocols

This position reports to Redondo Beach, CA, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 4 locations listed above.


Salary Range: $60,600 USD - $105,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $74,600 USD - $129,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
