Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Director 1, Supply Chain for our Huntsville, AL or Roy, UT locations. 

The Director of Supply Chain Programs for the Sentinel program will lead a diverse team of experienced Managers of Supply Chain Programs and Supply Chain Planning Specialists responsible for major subcontractors and suppliers supporting the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Segment.  This director’s responsibilities include embedding as a member of the program segment leadership team as well as coordination with program, division, and sector executive leadership to understand business requirements and identify and manage the needs for material and subcontracts. Responsibilities will include planning, negotiations, risk management and functional performance, managing key subcontractor cost, schedule, technical and quality performance. This position reports to Director of Supply Chain Programs for the Sentinel enterprise. 

The selected candidate will support the following responsibilities:

• Develops the acquisition/sourcing strategies and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP);
• Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies;
• Leads supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution;
• Briefs the Program Management Office (PMO) and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance;
• Participates in negotiations;
• Conducts program reviews with the suppliers, subcontractors and program office;
• Makes decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor; and
• Working with the Supplier Management Team (SMT) ensures subcontractors have established milestone objectives and that they meet schedules, contractual specifications and all compliance requirements
• Ensures subcontractor performs within the established program cost, schedule, and quality

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience (8 years with a Masters) in areas such as supply chain, business, or program management
• 10+ years of experience leading and/or managing teams
• Subcontracting experience including working knowledge of basic construction terms and industry practices.     
• Advanced knowledge of supply chain management techniques, practices or theories gained through wide seasoning and/or special development. Typically, a broad functional knowledge.
• Demonstrated success in leading managers and/or professionals to achieve projects cost, performance, and schedule requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated success in leading and developing cross functional teams.
• Ability to travel domestically
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering and/or technical discipline
• Demonstrated experience in supply chain management on a major program.
• Master’s Degree in a Business or Technical field.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and individual contributors.
• Demonstrated experience in interfacing seamlessly with functional teams, customers and major subcontractors in an IPT structure
• Program Management experience with earned value management system (EVMS) program.  
• Experience with Firm Fixed Price and Cost Type Construction contracts and subcontracts using design-build and a design-bid-build execution strategy
• Strong analytical skills.

This position reports to Huntsville, AL, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Roy, UT, UT, USA.

Salary Range: $145,800 USD - $230,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
