Northrop Grumman is looking for a Deputy Program Manager, Supply Chain that is responsible and accountable for the execution of material and services content for the AARGM program within the Advanced Weapons Business Unit. This position reports within Global Supply Chain.

Coordinates cross-functionally with all of supply chain to ensure that the supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers. Responsible for the Risk & Issue management, Cost Account Management (CAM) and budget oversight, process efficiencies and development through all phases of the program. Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, and make/buy plans. Leads supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution.

The location for this opportunity is Northridge, California.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive overall supply chain strategy for the AARGM and AARGM-ER production line, including strategic sourcing and supplier capacity planning.
  • Develop strategies to support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) business, building flexibility and responsiveness into the supply chain.
  • Support capture team by establishing top-level proposal / acquisition strategy for procured materials, and lead material negotiations with the Government
  • Act as a key member of the AARGM/AARGM-ER Program Office Team, reporting programmatically to the Sr. Production Program Manager.
  • Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers.
  • Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for a Program or collection of Programs.
  • Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies.
  • Briefs the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance.
  • Leads supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution.
  • Must be able to successfully lead a team of direct reports.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to work an amazing work schedule (4/10 Shift schedule: Monday-Thursday)
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree AND 7+ years of related experience that includes a background in Supply Chain Management and/or Program/ /Business Management, OR a Master’s degree AND 5+ years of experience that includes a background in Supply Chain Management and/or Program/Business Management (Preferred – A&D industry experience)
  • Must have minimum 3 years of Purchasing and/or Subcontracting experience, specifically in issuing Purchase Orders with a DOPA (Delegation of Purchasing Authority)
  • U.S citizen and ability to obtain US Government Secret clearance
  • Proven experience using MS Office Suite and various MRP/ERP systems (Preferred - Deltek Costpoint)
  • Must be able to travel as required (up to 25% of the time)

Salary Range: $130,500 USD - $195,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
