Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of Global Supply Chain Programs 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Program Management organization. This position can based in either Palmdale, CA or Melbourne, FL. The role will be primarily office based and need to be within a commuting distance to either of the two office locations to meet business and program needs. The GSC Manager 3 will lead a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting and operating to objectives and providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives and company policy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position reports to the GSC Strike Program Director in Palmdale, CA for the Aeronautics Systems Sector. The position supports the Site GSCPM Director & Strike Leaders in Melbourne, FL and Palmdale, CA. The Manager will serve as the GSC program manager for the Strike Planning, Requirements and Delivery (PRD) management organization, and as the senior GSC PRD point of contact; supporting all programs in Strike. The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the advance planning, material resource, parts management, integration, supplier delivery performance as well as the supplier manufacturing engineering strategies with coordination from Strike GSC leadership to support programs in various sites, with focus on achieving affordability targets, operational efficiency and First Time Quality.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 5 years’ experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 7 years experience, OR a High School Diploma/equivalent with 11 years’ experience. Experience should be primarily in Supply Chain Management and/or Operations Management.
  • 3 or more years' experience leading a large team to effectively execute a broad statement of work
  • Experience with manufacturing and supply chain operations with demonstrated and proven leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to prepare and present executive-level presentations
  • MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) & knowledge of SAP
  • Familiarity with MMAS/DCMA/ISO 9001 requirements
  • This position requires a DOD Secret clearance to start and will be required to obtain and maintain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

  • Experience as an accomplished problem-solver and change-agent whose unique mix of technical and business expertise lends itself to developing innovative Supply Chain strategies

Salary ranges will be dependent upon where the position is based and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position. Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience.

This position reports to Palmdale, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Melbourne, FL, FL, USA.


Salary Range: $134,200 USD - $233,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
