Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Supply Chain 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in our Global Supply Chain department. This leadership opportunity will be located in Palmdale, CA.

This leadership role reports directly to the Director, B-2 Production Operating Unit (OU), an organization comprised of program management and functional areas such as global supply chain; engineering; quality; ground support equipment and tooling; logistics; and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for activities and knowledge within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process. Participates in various aspects of supply chain process areas: Supply Chain-Plan, Supply Chain-Source, Supply Chain-Make, Supply Chain-Deliver as well as Supply Chain-Operations. Exhibits end-to-end supply chain competency and manages one or more Supply Chain functions (Planning, Sourcing, Small Business/Disadvantaged Programs, Supplier Quality, Warehouse & Transportation, Analytics, Compliance, Systems, etc.).

Specifically, this position will lead the Global Supply Chain (GSC) department in the support of B-2 Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) operations at the Palmdale site.  Routinely interfaces with the Program Manager for Contractor Inventory Control Point (C-ICP) on recurring delivery orders as well as the NGDS mod installation team at Whiteman AFB .  Moreover, serves as the Production OU representative to the B-2 System Program Office (SPO) and the Air Force Supply Chain Management Wings to establish robust parts support for depot aircraft.  Directly responsible for the financial forecasting of approximately $40M annually of material/parts ordered through NGDS to ensure that annual plans are met for Sales, Margin, and Cash.  Ensures that parts and materials necessary for B-2 production meet engineering and technical order requirements and supports manufacturing schedules to meet contract delivery dates.  Oversees the identification and tracking of parts and material obsolescence and manufacturing issues to ensure that technical solutions are developed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree AND 9 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in project management or program management, OR a master’s degree AND 7 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in project management or program management.
  • Must have people leadership experience as well as experience working with Executive/Senior leaders and DoD customers.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years).
  • Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
  • Experience in program operations and/or program management in a lead role
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)

Salary Range: $145,500 - $218,300

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
