AOA Xinetics (AOX), a wholly owned Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Payload and Ground Systems Division Business Unit, is a leading supplier of complex electro-optic and photonic systems and subsystems that control and manipulate light waves for a variety of applications. We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to support our Special Programs Team in East Hartford, CT.

Overview

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Tech Coordinator (Inventory Control Lead) will perform a combination of manual and clerical duties to receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies in a central warehouse. Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications and invoices; stores articles according to identifying factors; fills orders or issues supplies from stock; requisitions stock to fill incoming orders; and prepares stock use reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive daily shipments and unpack, sort and store items in correct stockroom and warehouse locations that allow for easy access according to documented standards

  • Ensure item counts match shipping manifests, mark items using tags and labels and record item details in manual and/or digital inventory lists daily

  • Calculate, verify and correct inventory computations as needed including physically counting items, comparing actual counts to listed inventory figures, investigating any discrepancies and updating inventory records with accurate information

  • Maintain detailed inventory records of stocked items, incoming and outgoing shipments, and minimum and maximum inventory levels to facilitate accurate handling procedures

  • Prepare shipments and manifests daily for internal transportation of stock to other warehouse and stockroom locations, as well as external distribution of items to customers, vendors and other company properties

  • Upkeep of the warehouse and stockroom facilities, finding and disposing of excess or obsolete stock, and ensuring stock areas meet documented safety standards

  • Perform daily maintenance of supplies, equipment, tools and storage areas according to standard procedures

  • Assist with company owned equipment-tracking activities

 Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or Equivalent and 2 years related experience (e.g. warehouse clerk, material handler, inventory clerk, supply chain coordinator)

  • Ability to complete on-the-job training

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills

  • U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to complete Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution certification, or equivalent, within one year of hire

  • 2 year Associate Degree (Associate of Science preferred)

  • Experienced/Certified user of a forklift and/or hand truck

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically able to complete required tasks such as walking, lifting, bending and working in a loud environment


Salary Range: $43,600 USD - $72,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
