The Rolling Meadows, IL facility is looking for an Import/Export Administrator to work in our Manufacturing/Operations organization. Roles and Responsibilities Include:

- Plans, schedules and routes imports and exports, including monitoring the flow of traffic to/from foreign destinations, ensuring related customer service, brokerage and customs transaction compliance.

- Maintains compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt and documentation of imported/exported products.

- Assists on trade compliance counsel assessments and prepares and/or reviews documentation as needed with management.

- Determines HTS & Schedule B classifications to products and components and ensures the system of record is updated within the parts master.

- Establishes and maintains training and post audit assessments (PO/Sales Order to Payment) as it relates to import and export activity, to ensure
implementation and effectiveness of internal compliance controls.

- Interfaces with cross functional departments to manage requests for information missing at the time of import or export.

- Researches and resolves customer or supplier issues. Interfaces with internal and external worldwide import/export operations and organizations

- Works with internal programs, outside vendors and suppliers to improve compliance efficiencies, prepare correct documentation in accordance with the internal requirements, terms & conditions, and government regulations while
reducing potential inbound and outbound transportation delays.

- Conducts research on transportation methods, rates and routes, and reconciles domestic and international freight bills.

- Develops programs to audit and monitor carrier rates and charges and evaluates past performance and cost of transportation.

- Performs various reporting and accounting functions within the Transportation/Shipping department.

- Negotiates with foreign customers to develop handling agreements. Acts as liaison with U.S. customs representatives to resolve problems

This position will be filled at either the Import Export Administrator or the Principal Import Export Administrator

Basic Qualifications Import Export Administrator:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of relevant experience or a master's degree with one year of relevant experience; 7 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
- Experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain pertaining to Customs Brokerage, Freight Forwarding, Trade Compliance, Import/Export regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication (written and oral), must be able to represent organization on specific projects.
- Must be self-initiating, needing only general supervision for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Level security clearance and US Citizenship

Basic Qualifications Principal Import Export Administrator:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience or a master's degree with one year of relevant experience; 10 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
- Experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain pertaining to Customs Brokerage, Freight Forwarding, Trade Compliance, Import/Export regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication (written and oral), must be able to represent organization on specific projects.
- Must be self-initiating, needing only general supervision for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Level security clearance and US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:
- Customs Brokers License - SAP experience desired/preferred - In-depth knowledge of handling imports and/or exports in accordance with Government Regulations, including knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- 3+ years of experience in processing international transportation activities - Ability to understand global impact of regulatory decisions (assertiveness and diplomacy to achieve results)
 

MANUMS

Salary Range: $60,900 USD - $91,300 USD

Salary Range 2: $75,000 USD - $112,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
