Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Supply Chain Cost/Price Analyst to support the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to act as a subject matter expert for cost and price analysis. The successful candidate will be able to independently evaluate supplier proposals for compliance to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 Table 15-2 requirements, and prepare and provide written Price/Cost Analysis Reports (PCARs) detailing and evaluating the suppliers’ price/cost proposal. Experience working in a classified environment is preferred.

This role is a hybrid role that requires the person to work onsite in Dulles, VA as needed.

Job Duties:

  • Completing cost and price analyses based on supplier proposals
  • Participating in fact-finding sessions
  • Requesting and obtaining DCAA Assist Audits where applicable
  • Establishing supplier proposed vs. evaluated positions by major element of cost
  • Evaluating supporting data used and provided in support of proposals
  • Conducting market research, analyzing historical data, and developing cost estimating models and factors to evaluate price reasonableness
  • Evaluating material estimates and consolidated priced bills of material obtained by GSC
  • Evaluating profit and indirect rates
  • Training supply chain organization in the basics of cost and price analysis

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist: 

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 10 or more years of supply chain, planning, or closely related experience; OR a master's degree and 8 or more years of supply chain, planning, or closely related experience; 4 additional years of supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Top Secret/SCI level security clearance.  US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Current Top Secret security clearance.  US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
  • Supply chain experience for an aerospace and/or defense company. 
  • Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system


Salary Range: $107,000 USD - $160,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
