Northrop Grumman, Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for a Sr. Principal Training Rep to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, California.

Essential Functions:

Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for development of e-learning programs.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in plus 10 years of Aerospace, Defense or Technical experience OR High School Diploma/ G.E.D plus 14 year of Aerospace, Defense or Technical experience

• Experienced in/familiarity with training systems or programs

• Ability and experience in analyzing, designing and developing publications and training materials

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), technical writing and strong verbal communication skills

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and SCI access.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the LX training database cert records

• Experience with entering/maintaining database.

• Previous experience in providing training in soldering/bonding/connector assembly

• Must be customer-oriented team player, able to productively interact with staff members in a team environment                                   

• Research, analyze and author training documents, contingency plans, instructions, lesson plans, and other training documents               

• Strong organizational and scheduling skills

Salary Range: $94,500 USD - $141,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
