Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is seeking a Human Resources Project Analyst to drive and lead the planning and facilitation of various human resources initiatives and processes, such as employee engagement, succession planning, metrics reporting and data analysis. The HR Project Analyst will collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders and cross-business team members to meet project deliverables. As a thought leader on the SSSD HR leadership team, this position will help develop talent priorities and generate ideas of how to execute them within the division. The role will play an integral role in project tracking and team execution, drive the communication flow with all constituents to ensure project success and seek out and share best practices for continuous improvement.  This role is located in our Redondo Beach CA facility but telework may be considered.

As a HR Project Analyst, you will partner with the Division HR Director to drive strategic human capital plans that support sector and enterprise goals, providing HR guidance and counsel to leaders and managers regarding succession planning and talent development, reward and recognition, compensation, organizational effectiveness, performance management, staffing and employee relations.

Specific duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Creating and strategizing for division-level HR presentations.
• Serving as a liaison to compensation, talent development, talent acquisition, employee relations, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.
• Partnering with internal stakeholders and leaders managing human resource projects and logistics.
• Providing monthly and quarterly people analytics to division reviews.
• Mentoring and training HR team on annual HR activities (ex. performance management, compensation planning, succession management).
• Serving as a subject matter expert for human capital analytics and reporting.
• Managing HR team MS Teams Channel and SharePoint.
• Supporting large-scale reorganizations, as needed.
• Leading other projects and initiatives on behalf of the HR team.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications: 

This role may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience in Human Resources and Project Management or Data Analysis – OR – a Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience in Human Resources and  Project Management or Data Analysis.

Basic Qualifications for a level 4:

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in Human Resources and Project Management or Data Analysis -OR- a Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience in Human Resources and Project Management or Data Analysis.

Additional Basic Qualifications for both levels:

• Knowledge of annual HR activities (ex. performance management, compensation planning, succession management).
• Experience providing HR data insights to the business and leading HR projects.
• Strong data analysis capabilities.  Experience extrapolating data to tell a story.
• Strong attention to detail and effective at problem-solving (ex. leveraging the enterprise to seek out information).
• Computer applications skills:
  • Excel – intermediate knowledge (VLOOKUP/IF functions, pivot tables).
  • PowerPoint – basic knowledge of building a presentation.
  • SharePoint – basic knowledge of organizing and loading documents, can attend Site Owner training to learn how to manager site permissions.
• Ability to work and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective consulting and facilitation skills.
• Ability to obtain a Top-Secret level security clearance.  US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Active Top Secret clearance.  US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
• Workday – prior experience helpful but not required, must be comfortable finding answers without assistance.
• Experience leading project teams.
• Aerospace and defense contracting experience.

This position reports to Redondo Beach, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Unknown City, CA, CA, USA.

Salary Range: $78,500 USD - $129,500 USD

Salary Range 2: $97,300 USD - $160,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
