In 2017, Northrop Grumman Australia was awarded a contract to perform the acquisition, construction and support of the second satellite ground station in the east of Australia. The contract will also deliver an integrated wideband SATCOM network management system to improve robustness, capacity and efficiency of the ADF SATCOM capability.

Your role:

Due to sustained growth and progress we are looking for a Senior Database Administrator. As a critical member of the SEIT Team, you will provide technical advice and support on matters of systems integration and defence environments. Your will partner with internal and customer stakeholders, meeting SLA’s for database and data requests, ensure databases kept in line with enterprise requirements and ensure update and availability of the databases.

About you:

You are a database specialist with experience working on projects and within highly regulated environments. Technically you have experience with EnterpriseDB (or PostgreSQL), Windows environments and troubleshooting. You hold a current Negative Vetting 1 clearance and are open to upgrade to a Negative Vetting 2.

Added bonus if you have experience within Defence environments, High Availability design / setup / configuration and data migrations / replications.
