This position can be filled at a level 3 or 4.

Job Description:

The candidate will perform job duties as a cyber systems engineer supporting the WISŁA IBCS Program in Huntsville, Alabama. This position may be filled at the principal or sr. principal level. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Facilitate the cyber maturation of the fielded WISŁA IBCS product.
  • Provide expert-level cyber solutions for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Conduct cyber analysis of the entire product to include Windows, RHEL, VMware, and Cisco devices.
  • Work with Product Teams in support of secure operating systems, applications, networks, hardware, databases, etc.
  • With direction from the team lead, resolve compliance challenges between NGC and IFMC PEO Cyber
  • Work on multiple simultaneous tasks. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Current DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e., Security+, etc.)
  • Senior-level experience administrating Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and 8
  • Experience ensuring system requirements from NIST 800-53 SP are implemented on the fielded system and addressing non-compliant controls
  • (Principal) Associate degree and 7 years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or master’s degree and 3 years of experience; an additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • (Sr. Principal) Associate degree and 11 years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience, or master’s degree and 7 years of experience; an additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
  • Broad knowledge of cyber posture dealing with multiple technologies including Windows, Linux, Cisco, and VMware
  • In-depth understanding of Linux systems
  • Prior experience working with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts
  • Scripting using Bash, PowerCLI, PowerShell
  • Additional Operating System Environment Certification i.e., (Linux+, RHCSA, Net+, CCNA, VMware Certified, etc.)

Salary Range: $104,000 USD - $157,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $129,000 USD - $194,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
