We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Cyber Systems Administrator or Sr Principal Cyber Systems Administrator based out of McClellan, CA in the Sacramento area.  As a  Principal Cyber Systems Administrator or Sr Principal Cyber Systems Administrator ​at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You’ll get to Do:

You will support the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Division's Airborne and Terrestrial SIGINT Operating Unit. You will be part of a team of system administrators supporting development and maintenance of field systems used around the world by the warfighter. This position requires the ability to support up to 70 users, maintain system configurations following configuration management process (to include writing problem reports and working those problems through the CM development process to closure), prioritize user and management requests, and implement network and cross-platform solutions to problem reports and new installations. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative environment with both system users and other system administrators, communicates well, and excels at multi-tasking various related efforts.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Install hardware/software, configure systems

  • Create automated scripts for installation/configuration and network administration in program development labs and at customer sites

  • Patch systems, scan systems for vulnerabilities (Security Center/Nessus, SCAP), harden systems (DISA STIGS), audit log files, update virus definitions and participate in successful IS accreditations/inspections

  • Plan for and maintain development networks, storage, COTS upgrades, virus definitions and collaboration tools, create and maintain user accounts

  • Design and maintain network infrastructure.

  • Configure network devices such as Cisco routers and switches, firewall and wireless access points

  • Develop network and computer security and testing strategies

  • Document all aspects of various system installation and configuration efforts step-by-step

  • Troubleshoot and recover system

This requisition may be filled as either a Principal Cyber Systems Administrator or Sr Principal Cyber Systems Administrator.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Cyber Systems Administrator are:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience. Note: An additional 4+ years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with Windows Active Directory including Group Policy Management (GPO)

  • Experience with Windows and Linux interoperability

  • Must be able to obtain Security+, a Compute Environment certification, in compliance with DOD Directive 8570.01 requirements within first 6 months of employment

  • At minimum must have an Active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Sr Principal Cyber Systems Administrator are:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 8+ years of relevant work experience. Note: An additional 4+ years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with Windows Active Directory including Group Policy Management (GPO)

  • Experience with Windows and Linux interoperability

  • Must be able to obtain Security+, a Compute Environment certification, in compliance with DOD Directive 8570.01 requirements within first 6 months of employment

  • At minimum must have an Active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Preferred  Qualifications:

  • Experience working within an Agile environment

  • Experience with VMware 6.x or higher, NetApp CDOT 9.x or higher

  • Experience with Linux or Windows scripting languages

  • Experience with virtualized environments and VMWare products

  • Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) processes for various USG classified networks

  • Experience with Active Directory forests, including root and child domains, Microsoft Exchange

  • Completed CISSP certification

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Salary Range: $95,000 USD - $142,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $117,700 USD - $176,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
