Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst (Level 2 or 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Aurora, CO. This requisition may be filled as either a Cybersecurity Analyst or Principal Cybersecurity Analyst.
The selected applicant will have experience with Cybersecurity implementations based on DoD, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI), and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, policies, and guidelines. Candidates should be comfortable working in an Agile Development Environment employing agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Basic Qualifications for a Cybersecurity Analyst (Level 2):
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree with 0 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance at time of application
Active CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II certification
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst (Level 3):
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; PhD with 0 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance at time of application
Active CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Linux
Familiarity with DevSecOps
Experience in threat hunting
Knowledge of audit reduction tools (e.g., SIEM, Splunk Enterprise)
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) NIST 800-37 and associated NIST SP 800-53 control families
Knowledge of DISA STIGS, DISA Benchmarks, STIG Viewer, and SCAP Compliance Checker
Knowledge of Agile/scrum and related tools (e.g., Jira)
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements (e.g., NCSRD, DAAPM, JSIG, etc.) and related risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Tenable Security Center, Nessus Scanner etc.) to identify, assess, and manage vulnerabilities
Able to thrive in challenging situations and has a strong desire to learn
