Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is the prime contractor for the Joint Tactical Ground Station (JTAGS) Pre-Planned Product Improvement (P3I) program. The JTAGS-P3I team is developing and deploying mission ground processing systems worldwide. These systems receive process and disseminate Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) sensor data in support of the theater missile-warning mission.

NGDS has an opening for a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join our JTAGS-P3I team located in Colorado Springs, CO.  The current effort is to provide Contract Logistics Support (CLS) and Engineering Services (ES). 

As part of these activities Cyber Support is provided to include:

We are looking for Cyber Professionals with experience in one or more of these areas to support the on-going CLS and ES activities.

You will get to:

• Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.  This is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments. 
• Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.  Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits. 
• Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DCID 6-3), make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities.  Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. 
• Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports. 
• Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M. 
• Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.

Position is Mon – Fri on-site: may require on-call, evening, and weekend support during system anomalies and or mission requirements. Travel required approximately 10%.

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S. in Cyber Security or related STEM degree or 4 additional years’ experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Combined 6 Years Cyber experience on DoD programs.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) NIST 800-37 and associated NIST SP 800-53 control families.
• Demonstrated experience with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) assessment.
• DODI 8570 Certification, (Security+ or higher-level security certification)
• Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous JTAGS system experience a plus
• CISSP certification or similar
• Demonstrated experience with HBSS, ACAS, and SCAP
• Knowledge of SPLUNK Configuration Processes

• Combined 10 Years’ Experience in both Support and Development Activities on DoD contracts

• Experience with ATO certification processes for Army Programs
• Demonstrated experience with systems administration of Windows and/or RHEL
• Demonstrated experience with STIG implementation, mitigation, and remediation

Salary Range: $104,700 USD - $157,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
