The Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) Engineering Directorate (DE) Task Order Modeling and Simulations Services (MSS) Shared Services Platform (SSP) is seeking someone with the education and experience to ensure the network and organization are in compliance with DoD mandated Cyber directives.

The position is based at Schriever Space Force Base near Colorado Springs, Colorado

Position responsibilities include:

  • Work with Infrastructure and Architecture teams to identify and plan needed architecture improvements to address evolving cyber threats and requirements.
  • Develop, update, and maintain system documentation to ensure Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance and maintain a network Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Work with Infrastructure team to assist with cyber related Systems Administration taskings and implementation
  • Develop Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAM), and Risk Acceptance Requests (RAR)
  • Provide regular briefings to contractor and Government leadership detailing the organization’s Cyber posture
  • Ensure network users have appropriate clearance and authority for their assigned network
  • Initiate protective or corrective measures in the event of a cyber security incident or discovery of vulnerability
  • Maintain and update cyber security related policies and documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong understanding of IT networks and systems and the cyber controls necessary to secure them
  • Ability to evaluate system and network configurations for compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), NIST 800-53 Security Controls and ISO/IEC 15408 Common Criteria to formulate and implement effective high quality RMF accreditation packages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong writing skills to produce the coherent and concise documentation required for certification evaluation
  • Ability to create and work within schedules and timelines 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Qualified to utilize eMASS (eMass CBT)
  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience, or 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Understands how to use eMASS to document security posture
  • Understanding of NIST 800-53
  • Experience developing and submitting POAMs and RARs
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 IA Workforce Improvement Program IAT Level II Approved Baseline Certification or equivalent
  • Active Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of NIST 800-171
  • Experience interfacing and providing status to Government customers
  • Experience with ESS

Salary Range: $129,800 USD - $184,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
