Job Description:

At the heart of Defining Possible is our commitment to missions. The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Advanced Processing Solutions Business pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines the leading edge of exotic new technologies, and drives advances in the sciences. One of our most challenging new fields is Transformational Computing, which combines the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop radical new energy-efficient computing systems. Our team is chartered with providing the skills to transform computing beyond Moore’s Law, advancing development of computer architectures, processing/memory subsystems, and large-scale high-performance computing systems. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside a broad array of scientists and engineers to make these processing solutions a reality and deliver remarkable new advantages to the warfighter. Responsibilities

·        Architect high speed, reliable, fault tolerant IT Solutions.

·        Work with development teams and organization leadership to design and lead implementation of full-stack solutions using software that fully integrates with existing cloud infrastructures (data flow, security, and DevSecOps).

·        Provide complete Operational, System and Technical Architectural views.

·        Provide System interface description views with physical nodes and interconnections.

·        Architect solutions for data migrations across computing environments.

·        Advise organization on integration of new emerging industry technologies and environments.

·        Evaluate technical risks and map out mitigation strategies.

·        Evaluate emerging cloud services, applications, and hardware as part of lifecycle maintenance.

·        Develop and organize cloud systems around appropriate enterprise frameworks, such as security, data, application, and business.

·        Ensure performance capabilities of new systems and architectures are consistent with mission requirements.

 

This position may be filled at the Staff Level.

Basic Qualifications for Staff Level:

·        A Bachelor’ Degree with 14 years of experience; 12 years with Master’s Degree; 9 years with PhD. Relevant work experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.

·        Experience working within IT Systems Design, Deployment and Administration, with recent roles in Technical or Team Leadership positions.

·        Experience of designing, deploying, and administering Cyber based solutions.

·        Experience in the Agile Framework.

·        Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications for Staff Level:

·        Experience of working within complex or high security environments.

·        Experience with DevSecOps service/system delivery model.

·        Experience developing microservices.

·        Demonstrated use of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and configuration management (Git, Bitbucket).

·        Experience working in Agile software development environment.

·        Product Ownership and Management studies/certifications a plus.


Salary Range: $161,000 USD - $241,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
