Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Information Technology Lead Manager 2 to join its team of diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.  Learn more about the Sentinel program here.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

The selected individual will perform as an IT leader and product owner responsible for agile execution of IT sustainment and enhancement activities. The engineer/leader selected for this position will:

• Be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals
• Have a strong understanding of Agile principles
• Have experience working on an Agile team
• Provide coaching, technical direction, and facilitation of the on-site team
• Lead scrum meetings, technical backlog reviews and software customer engagements
• Provide support to the DevSecOps Engineers is guiding activities and ensuring the priority items are being addressed
• Perform/support rapid software defect root cause analysis and problem resolution
• Provide highly innovative solutions to unusually complex technical problems
• Position will require up to 25% travel

These positions will have a standard work schedule of 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with at least 6 years of experience.
• 2 years of experience in agile software environments.
• At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• US Citizenship is a requirement for employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AGILE or C/C++ and real-time processing including: processes threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms and memory management required.
• Experience in the use of Atlassian tools.
• Familiarity with a structured process driven software development environment including peer reviews of all work products, using a revision control system, defect tracking and build release practices required
• Active DoD Security Clearance at the SAP/SCI level or above

Salary Range: $118,600 USD - $178,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
