SSSD has an opening for both a Software Programmer Development Analyst (level 2 or 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. These positions will be located at our Space Park facility in Redondo Beach, California.

The selected applicant will be working in a dynamic, people-focused environment interfacing with users and customers on Department of Defense (DoD) systems.  In this role, the incumbent will be participating in the entire software development lifecycle of web and windows-based applications using multiple high-level programming languages and technologies.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging applications software and systems
  • Adhering to software standards and requirements
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities
  • Developing web application with: .Net, Python or C#
  • Work with SQL Server and relational database technologies including SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS Reporting
  • Work and communicate with end users
  • PowerBI development and debugging
  • Assist with analyzing complex problems and developing solutions

THIS ROLE MAY BE FILLED AT EITHER A LEVEL 2, SOFTWARE PROGRAMMER DEVELOPMENT ANAYST OR LEVEL 3, SOFTWARE PRINCIPAL DEVELOPMENT ANALYST AS OUTLINED ON THE BASIC QUALIFICATIONS. SSSD WILL BE INTERVIEWING TO FILL 2 POSITIONS.  

Software Programmer Development Analyst - Level 2

Basic Qualifications: 

  • A BA or BS degree with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience; 0 years with a Masters degree
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) TS Clearance and/or SCI Security Access

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experienced with web application frontend and backend development
  • Experienced with Python
  • Works effectively as a self-starter within a team environment
  • Ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management to meet deadlines
  • Active DoD TS Clearance and/or SCI

Software Programmer Principal Development Analyst - Level 3

Basic Qualifications: 

  • A BA or BS degree with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience; 3 years with a Masters degree
  • With the ability to obtain DOD TS Clearance and/or SCI Security Access

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experienced with web application frontend and backend development
  • Experienced with Python
  • Works effectively as a self-starter within a team environment
  • Ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management to meet deadlines
  • Active DoD TS Clearance and/or SCI

Salary Range: $85,000 USD - $127,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
