The Digital Manufacturing Engineering and Quality (DMEQ) Program Management Office (PMO) seeks a software development analyst to support the Engineering Systems Pool (ESP) in Space Park in Redondo Beach, California. The Engineering Systems Pool (ESP) supports thousands of engineers in the Aero and Space Sectors by planning the demand for, delivering and maintaining, over 450 engineering design software titles and their associated infrastructures across dozens of environments.

Although the primary and preferred location for this role is Redondo Beach, we will also consider candidates who can committ to being full time at one of our other locations: Rancho Bernardo, CA, Palmdale, CA, Roy, Utah, Melbourne, FL.

We are looking for a qualified candidate to join us to apply their talents in a few key areas:

  • Project Coordination and Management – lead IT efforts by managing teams and tracking progress in the areas of SW  migrations, lifecycle management, infrastructure alignment, application standardization and other requirements
  • Data Analysis and Data Calls – Interpret, analyze, and evaluate large subsets of data to draw conclusions and provide other metrics
  • Roadmaps & Documentation – Assist with internal business roadmaps and process documentation
  • General Support –Provide general support to the PMO team

This role can be filled a level 2 or 3, depending on the years and depth of experience candidates bring.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology or engineering related discipline.
  • 2 years minimum relevant  experience (T2), 5 years minimum relevant experience (T3) with a Bachelor's of Science degree. Master's degree can be counted as 2 years of experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with at least one project management tool (MS Project, TFS, Jira)
  • US Citizenship is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a large and diverse software portfolio on a day-to-day basis
  • Experience successfully leading and completing  small, medium, and/or large scale projects on time and on budget
  • Demonstrated  ability to lead cross functional teams of technical professionals (SW Developers, Application Engineers, System Administrators, Business Management)
  • Demonstrated ability to summarize project status and complex issues for leadership review and consumption
  • Active DoD clearance

This position reports to Redondo Beach, CA, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 4 locations listed above.


Salary Range: $85,000 USD - $127,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $104,600 USD - $157,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
