Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Database Architect to join our team supporting the NKW program.  The position will be onsite and based at a facility in Aurora, Colorado.

The NKW program is transforming a mission critical application to work in tomorrow’s environments through increased DevOps implementation and needs a DBA to support the team’s growth and continued success.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 3 years of related experience with a Master’s degree; 0 years of experience with a Ph.D.; 9 or more years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Must have active/current DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher to be considered**
  • Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) (not required to start- candidate will be submitted for CI Poly upon hire)
  • Experience with Agile software development using Java, Python and/or C++ software development in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment
  • Experience with database administration with either Oracle or Postgres databases
  • Experience with tuning databases performance
  • Ability to troubleshoot database issues
  • Ability to design and implement database systems and schemas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current/Active TS or higher clearance
  • Current Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) completed within the last 5 years
  • Experience with database administration with both Oracle and Postgres databases
  • Ability to tune and maintain high-performing databases
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
  • Ability to support development, test, and deployment teams through DB administration

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  This schedule is flexible to accommodate those that prefer the traditional 40-hour week/8 hour day work weeks as well.

Salary Range:  $90,600 - $136,000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.     Salary Range 2: $112,300 USD - $168,500 USD
