Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Staff Software Configuration Analyst to join its team within the Mission Systems Organization.  This position requires work onsite at our Linthicum, MD and/or Annapolis Junction, MD locations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process software releases for both Linthicum/Annapolis Junction, MD locations.
  • Create SCM controlled software builds.
  • Support and schedule Software Configuration Control Board (SCCB) meetings and Software Action Request (SAR) / Software Trouble Reports for In-Process (STRIP) processing.
  • Support SCM process activities such as command media and homeroom directives.
  • Support driving the SCM organization towards moving CM approved tools/repository to Agile tools/repository.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree from an accredited institution with 15+ years of experience in the development and maintenance of real-time software systems; or master’s degree 9+ years of experience; or PHD 6+ years of experience.
  • Proficient knowledge and use of the following Tools: ClearCase, ClearQuest, GIT, various compilers, Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook).
  • Solid planning, organizing, and data gathering skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills in a teamwork environment.
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and proficiency with the tools listed above and experience with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence.
  • 10 or more years of SCM experience.

This position reports to Linthicum, MD, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Annapolis Junction, MD, MD, USA.


Salary Range: $139,400 USD - $209,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
