Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking an Enterprise-Wide Applications Analyst. This is an opportunity for an Application Analyst and Systems Integration professional who is an energetic, self-starter who wants to progress in their career by joining a highly-visible team focused on driving business performance. The right person for this role will have a high attention to detail, enjoy working by themselves, and will be highly responsive to requests and questions.
This role is on-site in Promontory, Bacchus, or Clearfield Utah.
This role is a member of the Business Systems and Operations Support team. The person will be responsible for contract pegging throughout the organization, providing visibility and metrics for current contract pegging performance, and troubleshooting contract pegging issues.
The right person for the job will be a self-starter, a strong communicator and someone who enjoys working with large data sets, MBOMs and financial abbrevs. The candidate must understand manufacturing MRP systems and material management principles. He/she must be able to understand database structures and know how to develop basic design queries to select data based on specific business criteria. He/she must be able to understand/validate query results to ensure results are accurate before presenting information to management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Contract pegging across all programs in Propulsion Systems
Tracking and reporting contract pegging defects in Costpoint
Troubleshooting contract pegging and providing support to finance and charge account managers
ECN review and update as needed for MBOM changes that could affect the current pegging structure
Support SME communities in the development and execution of test plans to ensure application quality and stability
Provide training and support to end-users on application functionality
Support SME communities in the creation of training materials.
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure applications meet business needs
Assist in the planning and execution of application implementations and upgrades
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Provide expert-level support for Costpoint and its supporting applications, including functional troubleshooting and training.
Timely response to functional user support and/or training requests.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend/implement preventative measures.
Basic Qualifications
This position may be filled at either a level 03 or level 04
Basic Qualifications for a level 03
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
An understanding of MRP and contract pegging
Able to support off hours, nights and weekends, as needed in support of nightly MRP cycles
Experience as an end user and technical supporter of MES, ERP & PLM systems/applications.
Basic Qualifications for a level 04
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience.
An understanding of MRP and contract pegging
Able to support off hours, nights and weekends, as needed in support of nightly MRP cycles
Experience as an end user and technical supporter of MES, ERP & PLM systems/applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Costpoint
Experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), IBM Cognos Analytics (BI), SAP S/4 HANA, SharePoint
Prior involvement with integrating technology and business process
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Understanding of hardware and software requirements, design, development and testing of system integrations
