Roles and Responsibilities:

As a member of the Enterprise Search and Wiki team, successful candidates will have the opportunity to apply their skills towards helping 90,000 people find the proverbial needle in a haystack.  Members of this team are responsible for the care and feeding of Sinequa Enterprise Search engine, and WikiMedia’s Wikipedia solution.  Together, we make sure that our systems are stable, fast, and reliable.  If we’re setting up a new data source to crawl, or triaging a problem with our performance, we’ve always got our user’s experience top of mind.

Candidates must possess the ability to demonstrate solid troubleshooting and problem resolution skills, as well at the ability to develop creative solutions to challenges.  Good customer service will also an important aspect of a successful candidate.  Good written and verbal communication skills is a must for members of this team, as we regularly interact with end users and our leadership.

This position will be virtual remote and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience (will consider additional years of experience in lieu of education ie Associate's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience)

  • A strong commitment and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

  • Demonstratable experience with the following scripting and markup languages.

    • HTML

    • JavaScript

    • Python

    • PowerShell

  • Experience with web applications / service

  • Structured Query Language.

  • Experience / Willingness to troubleshoot complex problems.

  • Eligible to acquire secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • COMP TIA Security+ Certification

  • Possess solid troubleshooting background. Log analysis using regular expressions searches.

  • Experience with Sinequa Enterprise Search engine

  • Experience with SPLUNK and/or Solarwinds monitoring tool(s)

  • Experience with Angular or React framework.

  • Experience with Relational Database administration and Design

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.

This position reports to Unknown City, VA, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 10 locations listed above.


Salary Range: $77,200 USD - $115,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
