Join Northrop Grumman on our continued mission to push the boundaries of possible across land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace. The Performance and Decision Analytics team for the Northrop Grumman F-35  Lightning Sustainment Center (LSC) is seeking a new member to provide analytical decision support to the F-35 program located in Fort Worth, TX. We are looking for a passionate Data Analyst to perform data reconciliation, data transformation, process automation, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines and Contract Deliverable solutions from disparate data sources. You will share in the ownership of the technical vision and direction for advanced analytics systems that change the way the F-35 customer utilizes data to meet mission capability and affordability goals. We are looking for someone self-motivated, hardworking, and have demonstrated the ability to find innovative solutions to complex technical problems.

The chosen candidate will be a member of a joint industry sustainment team developing analytical and decision support applications to support fleet operational sustainment. The candidate will have the opportunity for part-time telecommute as part of an integrated team at a customer facility in Fort Worth, TX. Enjoy a Monday through Thursday workweek with occasional weekend support. Candidate needs to be a strong collaborator and a team player to meet the project schedule. Candidate will follow the agile methodology for developing the various capabilities and actively participate in sprint and system demos. The candidate will take ownership of the solution and be able to adapt quickly to changing business priorities and customer requirements.

Additional roles and responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage various data files in applicable formats and manipulate data for analytics
  • Recommend and develop logic flows using operational sustainment analytic tools and best practices.
  • Execute extraction, transformation and loading of data to and from enterprise databases (Oracle and SAP HANA)
  • Generate reports to document model/data accuracy and providing outcomes of datasets
  • Work with team and customers to construct and refine Contract Deliverable datasets centric to operational sustainment and supply chain modeling
  • Analyze datasets for accuracy, integrity and quality
  • Develop Structured Query Language (SQL)

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field and a minimum of 2 years related technical experience; 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server and/or SAP HANA
  • Proven working experience as a data scientist, data analyst, or business data analyst
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, segmentation techniques and ETL
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Reliability, Maintenance and Supply Chain data aggregation, transformation and analysis
  • Hands-on experience developing DoD Contract Deliverables (CDRLs)
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlikview
  • Experience with enterprise level database systems
  • Minimum of 2 plus years’ of data modeling experience
  • Experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
  • Experience with operational sustainment of weapon system platforms
  • Knowledge of Mil Std 1388-2-B
  • At least 2 years of experience writing with SQL
  • At least 2 years of experience writing scripts using Python, VBA, SAS or comparable
  • Previous work in an Agile Environment
  • Experience working with vendors and government

This position reports to Fort Worth, TX, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Unknown City, TX, TX, USA.


Salary Range: $73,600 USD - $110,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
