Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Network Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located out of Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

Candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining C2BMC enterprise network architecture and design artifacts for formal CDRL delivery. This role will be involved with subsystem level requirements decomposition and traceability, interface definition (e.g. ICD/IDD), performing technical trade studies, and interfacing with various subject matter experts to elicit requirements and design specifications.

Engineer will work across multiple teams to capture design updates and new capabilities. Focus will be on developing network artifacts in MS Visio and other related design tools.

Basic Qualifications:

If applicable, please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume.

• An active Secret clearance is required.
• 5 Years with Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 9 years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
• Require a Systems Engineer with a strong network engineering background. Cyber security and information protection are key areas of focus as well.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of network architecture design, development and testing methodologies.
• Candidate should have a strong interest in digital transformation technologies such as integration with dynamic data sources and automation frameworks.
• Experienced with DOORS, CAMEO or similar tools involving requirements and system modeling.
• Must be an effective communicator with excellent technical writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers as well as independently on large projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using the Agile Framework or experience applying Agile fundamentals in engineer-focused work is desired.
• Candidates with prior C2BMC system experience are highly desired.

Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
