Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Network Communications Manager 1 to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Fort Leavenworth in Leavenworth, Kansas.
This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and customer approval.
Responsibilities:
Leads the Network Support Team (NST) providing the communication architecture for the efficient and effective operation of the installation network
Develops, coordinates, and implements exercise support communications plans
Configures communications equipment
Implements Cyber Security processes
Assists in installing equipment and circuitry in support of exercises
Works closely with the Mission Training Complex (MTC) Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and MTC Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in facilitating the maintenance of Authority to Operate (ATO) within the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Basic Qualifications:
One of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Network Management or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Network Architecture design and implementation
Master’s degree in Network Management or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Network Architecture design and implementation
Experience with:
advanced planning, troubleshooting and maintenance on the Microsoft server platform
Cisco router, switch, and firewall configuration
Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) configuration/architecture
Specific product lines (Cisco, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, and Tripwire)
RMF Assess and Authorize process and Cyber Security requirements
Must have or be able to acquire Information Assurance Training (IAT) Level II Certification within 180 days from start of work
Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Strong understanding of technology integration and information flow including LAN/WAN, firewalls, security, storage, and backup methodologies
Employee will frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds around the worksite
Must be able to support shifts that occur outside normal working hours to support 24/7 operations during exercise events that may be more than 40 hours per week
Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)
Must be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth in Leavenworth, Kansas
Preferred Qualifications:
Hold additional CompTIA certifications, such as Security+, Network+ and A+
Vendor certifications for CCNA, Windows, Server, and Redhat Linux
