Sr. Principal Info. Systems Project Manager

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Information Systems Project Manager based out of Chandler, AZ. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman Chief Information Office, an organization of highly skilled and diverse individuals responsible for providing information technology solutions and services across Northrop Grumman, and driving superior business performance through a robust, secure, cost-effective IT infrastructure which enables collaboration and strategic business partnering to foster innovation and technology. This position will support classified area initiatives and operations for multiple designated Launch Vehicles Programs.

The selected candidate will serve as Project Manager and will provide leadership and overall direction to one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation, and modification of IT projects for all project requirements. The selected candidate will also serve as the customer liaison for the project leadership and will manage all scheduling, change management, risk management, and cost management requirements for the assigned projects, while also being responsible for any optimization or other remediation work assigned by management.

Additional roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:              

• Maximize the alignment of site Enterprise Services with the ES operating model, strategies, and investments and communicate ES events and enterprise initiatives to the sites and programs
• Coordinate with site business leadership, homeroom managers, and end user groups to identify, plan, implement, and sustain Enterprise Services to meet business unit, division, and sector strategic and tactical objectives
• Monitor customer satisfaction with service delivery and engage CIO and Global Operations resources to assist as required to meet and exceed service level objectives
• Develop strong/empowered relationships with cross functional sector groups. Drive and influence improvements while understanding business partner/program business objectives and needs
• Escalate service actions and associated delivery priorities as required
• Identify systemic technical and service delivery challenges and then coordinate solutions with CIO and Global Operations functional representatives; engage constructively to identify solutions
• Manage and track status of projects, metrics, financial budgets, and EACs; manage schedules and prepare status reports; and ensure project remediation and ongoing compliance goals are met
• Create, review, and finalize the project Statement of Work (SOW)
• Assist the project management leadership team in assessing, documenting, and tracking of all new assigned project requirements
• Prepare project execution plans and identify the appropriate technical and business resources required
• Participate proactively in developing and maintaining standards, tools, and best practices
• Lead and direct the assigned project team to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives
• Adopt a positive attitude about Agile processes, ensure tasks are flowing from one phase to the next, and facilitate the basics of the process (i.e. transparency, project information is current, impediments are being eliminated)
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of customers life cycles, standards, and supporting processes and practices
• Develop customer relationships and cultivate customer intimacy

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate's degree with 11 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience, or Master's degree with 7 years of experience
• Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance; must be able to maintain the required security clearance as a condition of continued employment
• Must be able to obtain Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) within a period of time as determined by customer and/or program requirements; must be able to maintain SAP/SAR as a condition of continue employment
• Must have experience with project planning, scheduling and cost performance / Earned Value Management
• Problem solving skills with integrated team including but not exclusive to the program manager, functional managers, and customers
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must have experience in communicating with various levels of leadership
• Must have experience leading and managing multiple concurrent and complex project assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with project management tools and presenting project data such as status, risk, and deliverables to key stakeholders
• Experience leading and managing IT related projects in an Agile environment 
• Experience using tools that support agile processes such as JIRA and Confluence
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework and working as part of an Agile Development (Scrum) team
• Experience with Multiple Agile teams in different organizations
• PMP Certification
• Agile or SCRUM certifications

Salary Range: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
