Northrop Grumman Global Operations Security is seeking a Computer Support Technician; this position will be located in Roy, UT. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Document and submit problem resolutions to the knowledge database in order to assist other Help Desk personnel with problem resolutions.

  • Resolve issues surrounding computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems while demonstrating expertise in customer service and technical knowledge.

  • Record, maintain, and update records in the Incident Management system; perform analysis of problems and assist with corrective action to restore functionality, and work with technical, customer service, or development staff to resolve recurring problems and issues with applications and/or products.

  • Service Desk provides 7x24x365 support including weekends and holidays.

  • Review input data to verify adequacy and appropriateness of material required for data processing and related operations.

  • Review output data to verify completeness, accuracy, and conformance to quality standards and specifications.

  • Maintain accurate internal records.

This position may be filled at Level 2 or Level 3, based on the qualifications outlined below.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of additional education and/or experience.

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Must be able to obtain or already hold a DoD Secret level security clearance with an original adjudication date, or a periodic reinvestigation date, completed/closed within the last 6 years; obtaining the required security clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company and also by program and/or customer requirements, and maintaining the required security clearance, will be a condition of continued employment.

  • Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company and also by customer and/or program requirements; maintaining SAP/SAR will be a condition of continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

  • Experience with remote administration.

  • Current DoD Top Secret security clearance with SAP/SAR level access.

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Dell, HP, or other certification(s).

  • Experience in Active Directory configuring user and computer accounts.

  • Cross-platform experience (i.e. two or more of the following: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.).

  • Experience troubleshooting, installing, and configuring Desktops running Windows OS (including Windows 10), as well as the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).


Salary Range: $39,600 USD - $66,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $47,100 USD - $78,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
