The Mechanical Engineering group is hiring for an experienced Sr. Principal Systems Administrator - Teamcenter/NX to join our Mechanical Engineering team. This position is open to fulltime remote work.

Essential Functions:

  • Work within the Northrop Grumman Mechanical Engineering group and will be responsible for maintaining Teamcenter workflows and NX CAD tool.  Duties will include developing and testing changes to workflows and supporting users with the release process
  • Verify 3D models for adherence to design practices
  • Support various engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, and Quality
  • Perform Teamcenter and NX administration tasks, such as upgrade testing, managing stylesheets, and troubleshooting Support users releasing documents through Teamcenter workflows in Active Workspace Audit files and metadata to ensure data integrity
  • Maintain and update training material for NX and Teamcenter Conduct NX and Teamcenter training
  • Develop reports in eQube and/or Teamcenter Report Builder Mechanical modeling using NX managed with Teamcenter Create/Revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards
  • May supervise and direct the activities of staff
  • This position may be offered at hybrid or full remote work schedule

       

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a with 10 years of related experience; or a Master’s 8 years of related experience, or a PhD in STEM with 5years of related experience. May substitute related experience in lieu of education.
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance
  • Direct experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter (Rich Client and Active Workspace)
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows
  • Experience with Digital Product Definition Practices per ASME Y14.41
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Comfortable working extended periods of time at a workstation
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately while under schedule pressure and exhibit a large degree of patience
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret DoD security clearance, or higher
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with NX Checkmate
  • Experience working with DoD programs
  • Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes including CNC Mill and Lathe operations
  • Experience with Teamcenter Schedule Manager, Query Builder, Report Builder, and eQube

Salary Range: $101,600 USD - $152,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
