We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal System Administrator Or Sr Principal System Administrator based out of McClellan, CA (Sacramento area). As a System Administrator at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You’ll get to Do:

You will be part of a team of System Administrators supporting development and implementation of fielded systems used by the warfighter. In addition:

  • Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware and software.

  • Respond to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution

  • Ensure certification and accreditation of networked devices

  • Travel occasionally to support technical reviews, meetings, working groups and test site support

The System Administrator we are seeking will be an individual who thrives in a diverse work environment, has outstanding communication skills and possesses a strong sense of engagement and continuous process improvement.

This position may be filled as a Principal System Administrator Or Sr Principal System Administrator.

Basic Qualifications Principal System Administrator :

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years' relevant experience, an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Experience working with Linux and Windows servers in an Active Directory enterprise environment

  • Experience with VMWare Automation tools such as vCenter, HorizonView, vRealize Ops Manager, etc

  • Experience with Linux Shell, Powershell, or Python scripting

  • Willingness to obtain Security Plus Certification within 3 months

  • Must have Active Top Secret Clearance/SCI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Information Assurance processes for various USG classified networks

  • Experience of Active Directory forests, including root and child domains

  • Current Security Plus Certification

  • Active CI/Poly


Salary Range: $95,000 USD - $142,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $117,700 USD - $176,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
