Northrop Grumman is looking for a Demand/Portfolio Lead. This role is not location specific and can be supported virtually.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for Portfolio level Roadmap Development - working with Process Efficiency Leads and Architects
  • Manages and formalizes demand intake and overall pipeline view from the business in line with roadmap and portfolio objectives
  • Works with Business Evolution - Process Efficiency to gather and prioritize change requirements and collate overall demand view
  • Performs detailed planning of projects to ensure realistic & executable plan year by year
  • Collaborates with Process Efficiency leads to prioritize projects
  • Works with Finance and Resource Management to match valid approved demand with available resources & initial forecast creation
  • Manages Change Board to approve enhancements
  • Develops/owns sector support model (SU/BPC)
  • Ensures sectors are providing required support (SU, BPC) based on defined model
  • Manages internal/external dependencies
  • Responsible for production and management of consolidated plan including key dependencies and defined critical path.
  • Responsible for managing overall integrated high level plan of related in-scope project & program plans
  • Works with Program/Project Managers to translate high level plans (PoaP/Level 0) into detailed work breakdown structures
  • Provides planning templates, procedures and policies along with necessary training and continued guidance to ensure robust plans exist in support of approved/prioritized programs and projects
  • Helps identify and manage dependencies both within a plan and across the enterprise plan as a whole, reporting and escalating any identified risks and issues to leadership as required
  • Works with Governance and Standards to ensure planning artifacts, tooling, procedures and policies are identified and updated as required
  • Builds strong relationships with teams and stakeholders to enable effective dialogue exchange between capabilities within the CoE and with portfolio managers external to the CoE
  • Actively champions best practice within service management within CoE and wider IT
     

Basic Qualifications - to be considered for this position you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelors degree with 9 years of relevant experience OR Masters degree with 7 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including MS Project.
  • 5+ years in program management
  • Proficient in ability to understand dependencies between projects and create integrated project plans ensuring success
  • Strategic thinker possessing ability to collaborate with senior leadership within ERP and the business on developing project roadmap
  • Demonstrated ability communicate and interact with a wide range of users ranging from individual contributors up to senior leadership
  • Functional/business process knowledge spanning Business Management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing & Logistics
  • Experience with implementing ERP projects leveraging SAP Activate methodology
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Expert with knowledge in cost treatment of project activities, budget planning and schedule execution
  • Quick learner of new applications

Preferred Qualifications - candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • PMP Certified Program Manager
  • Experience in Cora
  • Experience developing high-level plans into discreate work packages for project execution

This position reports to Unknown City, MD, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 4 locations listed above.


Salary Range: $117,900 USD - $176,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
