Principal Database Administrator

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for a Database Administrator (Level 3 or Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, Utah

Responsibilities and duties to include but are not limited to:

• Be a self-starter, work without direct supervision.
• Integrate into a high tempo manufacturing environment
• Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases.
• Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general.
• Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
• Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated system/network administrators, and mission planners.

Basic Qualifications

(Level 3)

• High school diploma + 10 years of relative experience in systems, coding, and database management ; OR Bachelor's Degree +6 years of relative experience in systems, coding, and database management; OR Masters Degree +4 years of relative experience in systems, coding, and database management
• Candidate must be able to gain an active DoD Secret clearance (not required to start)

Basic Qualifications

(Level 4)

• Minimum of 10 years of relative experience in systems, coding, and database management ; Bachelor's Degree +6 years of relative experience in systems, coding, and database management; OR Masters Degree +4 years of relative experience in systems, coding, and database management
• Candidate must be able to gain an active DoD Secret clearance (not required to start)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience, current knowledge, and developed skills in data administration, especially in an Oracle environment, are highly desired and preferred.
• Oracle Certified Associated (OCA)/Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Certification

Salary Range: $82,000 USD - $123,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
