Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Manager Network Engineering 2.  This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.  

  

The Manager Network Engineering designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

What You’ll Get To Do:  

  • System and component level analyses of complex systems 
  • Ability to work with multiple organizations to accomplish program objectives
  • Project planning and coordinating work that includes budget forecasting  
  • Research, analysis, system design and development of communication systems Hardware procurement and technical oversight with suppliers  
  • Prepare and present to stake holders detailed status reports regarding the state of the program and individual projects.    
  • Work with multiple teams to ensure that the team’s goals and responsibilities are being tracked and reported accurately.  
  • Effectively organizing the work efforts of multiple teams and running Scrum meetings 
  • Experience managing human resources to accomplish mission objectives.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.    

  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience; or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have a DoD Secret level security clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years prior to commencement of employment
  • Experience with schedule management, risk management and performance management
  • Experience working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and execution of large projects
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated work experience leading a project or driving performance against a schedule
  • At least 1 year of experience in testing environments or with test execution efforts
  • Experience with industry standards and government procurement processes
  • Ability to gain Special Programs Access
  • At least 1 year of experience leading projects or cross functional team  

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:  

  • A current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years
  • Precious efforts working across multiple locations, and multiple disciplines.
  • Previous Test Network experience
  • Proficiency with Tools such as: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • CAM and EVMS experience


Salary Range: $116,200 USD - $174,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
