At Northrop Grumman, our employees have incredible opportunities to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come. Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future, and have fun along the way. Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity and bringing your whole self to work — and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.

We have an opening for an Associate Information Systems Administrator or Information Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization.

This position will be filled at both of our locations Dulles, VA or Gilbert, AZ office.

Essence of the Role:

Each program within the Tactical Space Systems Division must have a team of technical engineers who are highly focused on meeting computing needs.  In this activity we are calling the IT Shop, we aim to provide a means through which technical solutions are provided to software and systems engineers to accelerate their product delivery because expertise on the various programs do not necessarily exist in which to design and implement hardware systems that meet the demanding needs of daily operations.  Support is typically performed from a remote terminal and most program work is well suited for this model, however, onsite access can be problematic especially when simple activities are required, like powering machines on and off, checking system and environmental temperatures, or physically placing computers.

The list of IT Shop activities and responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:

  • System administration of computing assets
  • Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual systems
  • Liaison with external IT department (Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services)
  • Resolve connection issues to internal networks as well as externally connected networks
  • Environmental (i.e., physical plant) monitoring, troubleshooting and reporting, and basic remediation
  • Work with team to implement CMMC compliance in various environments
  • Serve as triage point for tickets:  analyze tickets, requests additional information, process tickets through system, assignment of tickets, confirmation with requestors prior to closure, closing of tickets
