Description:

This position requires a flexible individual with experience in Linux system administration throughout the project lifecycle. Duties will include system development, upgrades, server monitoring and patching. Successful candidates must be well organized, a good communicator, and capable of multi-tasking.  Must possess strong analytical skills ,and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. 

Location:

In support of the GRASP project located in Stafford VA.

Duties:

Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Install and maintain Linux (RHEL) servers in a production environment
  • Perform Linux system administration including server development, backup, security management, patching, scripting, and user account management.
Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's + 5 years of exp: Master's + 3 years of exp; PhD + 0 years of exp
  • Bachelor's + 9 years of exp; Master's + 7 years of exp; PhD + 4 years of exp
  • 3+ years of Linux System Administration experience.
  • Enterprise Linux Distributions (RHEL, CENTOS) RHEL 7 and/or 8 experience preferred.
  • Experience with hardening Linux OS and applications to required configurations (e.g. DISA STIGs).
  • Experience with BASH, Python or other scripting languages
  • Compliance/Vulnerability Monitoring with tools such as Nessus, HBSS and ACAS
  • Firewall configuration experience (firewalld, iptables, etc)
  • TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass a CI poly
  • Able to obtain a Security+ certification within 3 months of hire.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Network troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of the following: Hycu backup/recovery software or other backup/recovery software; Nutanix virtual environment, or other platforms such as VMWare; Elastic Search Stack (ELK); Risk Management Framework (RMF);
  • Experience with Configuration Management, including change request and work tracking software (e.g., Atlassian’s Jira, Maximo); GIT, Subversion or BamBoo; Kubernetes
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Windows administration

Salary Range: $95,000 USD - $118,700 USD
Salary Range 2: $117,700 USD - $176,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
