Due to consistent and positive growth for our Australian business, a unique and rare opportunity has arisen to appoint an experienced Corporate Counsel to our team on a part-time basis.

This exciting opportunity will be part of Northrop Grumman Corporation’s law department and report to the Australian Legal Director, assuring Northrop Grumman’s legal function provides consistent, timely and high quality support across a wide range of matters relevant to Northrop Grumman’s Australian operations. Our tremendous growth trajectory in the Australian market presents a broad and diverse portfolio of business where you will find yourself working in partnership with multi-functional teams both in Australia and the US on a diverse range of captures and programs, and with no two days likely to be the same.

The preferred location for this position is Canberra, although Sydney or Brisbane may be considered. The position is available on a part-time basis with hybrid work options available.

About you:

As a seasoned Legal professional, you will be a natural at engaging with a broad range of stakeholder groups fostering a positive culture of legal awareness and legal risk management.

You will have qualifications in Law and preferably admitted to practice law in an Australian state or territory. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated commercial or project law experience in a Law firm, Government or similar in-house Counsel. Experience working in the Defence or aerospace industry is desirable but not essential.

Note: As a Defence security clearance is required for this role (NV1) applicants must be Australian Citizens. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
