Northrop Grumman is seeking a mid-career to senior level paralegal (identified as a Paralegal 3 or 4 within Northrop Grumman) to join the Investigations Group within its Law Department, working primarily from the company’s corporate headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia.  The paralegal will report to the Corporate Director and Assistant General Counsel for Investigations and Regulatory Enforcement and will work as a critical part of a team conducting significant internal investigations and managing the company’s relationships with government investigative agencies.

The paralegal’s responsibilities may include, among other things: 

  • Arranging and participating in investigative interviews
  • Managing the preservation, collection, and review of documents
  • Conducting fact gathering and legal research
  • Coordinating with functional groups and management across the company
  • Working with law firms and vendors regarding engagements and billing
  • Supporting internal budget management and reporting
  • Communicating with and preparing information for government agencies

Basic Qualifications Level 3:

  • High school diploma and at least 4 years of experience in a paralegal or comparable role
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), SharePoint (or equivalent), and document review platforms
  • Experience using complex electronic databases, such as budget analysis and billing systems (e.g., Serengeti Legal Tracker or equivalent)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to express complex ideas clearly to various audiences across a large organization and with government agencies
  • Ability to execute tasks and projects independently
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective, collaborative relationships with others
  • US citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in a corporate law department or a major law firm, with experience working with or for federal government contractors especially valued  
  • Experience with internal and/or government investigations, including document collection, document review, and interviews
  • Expertise in electronic discovery

Salary Range: $67,100 USD - $111,900 USD
Salary Range 2: $82,400 USD - $137,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
