Northrop Grumman SSSD has an opening for a Manufacturing Expeditor 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Manhattan Beach, California.
Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is seeking a Manufacturing Expeditor 2 to join our Customer Support (CS) team. The Manufacturing Expeditor 2 serves as the primary customer interface of the CS section, as well as the Engineering Asset Management (EAM) department, executing recall and disbursement of Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE). Working daily with internal customers, strategic organizational partners, external vendors/suppliers, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), the Manufacturing Expeditor 2 ensures equipment is managed and transported safely, in the most effective manner possible, between customers/end-users and metrology services activities.
The selected candidate’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Expediting, routing, and dispatching test equipment, materials, and ancillary components in support of specified Areas of Operation within their purview
Responsible for test equipment accountability, control, pick-up and delivery to and from end-users (customers)
Consistent communication with customers for status and recall of test equipment and ancillary components
Coordination of pick-up/deliveries and all applicable processing of and database updates in the Test Equipment Asset Management and Metrology System (TEAMMS), Calibration Management System
Accountable for reviewing and managing workload based on daily Coordinator Performance Reports, ensuring performance metrics remain within specific thresholds
Maintain excellent database integrity via inventory reconciliation of equipment between TEAMMS database, Pool/Stock Inventory and customer Areas of Operation

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent OR Associate of Arts (AA) degree OR other 2-year technical degree; 1-2 years of relevant working experience considered in lieu of Diploma or AA or technical degree
Ability to frequently move and position/reposition objects weighing up to 50lbs
Military Logistics, Maintenance Management or Aerospace industry inventory and/or Supply Support experience required, e.g. warehousing, stockroom, customer service support
Valid California State Driver’s License
Willingness to change physical work locations based on operational need
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance (Secret or Top Secret)
Preferred Qualifications:
Current/Active SCI Clearance
Metrology and/or Calibration (M&TE) experience
Aerospace and Defense industry experience
Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) classification codes: USMC-0431 or 0411 series; USAAF-2S0 or SC0 series, USA 92 or 91 series
