Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking a Machinist 2 to join our team in Hopkinton, MA. You’ll be responsible for machining parts per drawings using standard machine shop tooling, using Bed/Knee mill with ProtoTRAK controls, and torch (silver) brazing copper filters. The machined parts consist of tight tolerance (+/-.001), complex, and RF/microwave items in a secured environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Ability to utilize lathes and milling machines to make metal parts
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions via interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
- Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds and stand continuously for 3 hours at a time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ experience working in a machine shop
- Silver torch braze copper filter assemblies.
- Ability to operate ProtoTRAK Bed/Knee Mill
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate
- Strong Math skills
