Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our Leadership Development Program (LDP). This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Sunnyvale, CA. This position will be in the LDP rotational program consisting of four rotation opportunities within Marine Systems Operations.

What You'll Get to Do:

At Sunnyvale campus you will get to work on unique systems that are not made anywhere else in the world. Equipment you produce will keep Sailors safe in places no human is meant to survive and will play a major role into our Nation’s military superiority and Global Security. Northrop Grumman Marine Systems specializes in the development, manufacture assembly and testing of propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines.

The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is designed for individuals aspiring to become effective people-leaders. The LDP participant will rotate through various process areas and gain valuable experience leading the represented factory hourly teams in manufacturing environment producing high quality, low volume, large electro-mechanical fabricated structures with complex controls. This position will interface with Sr. Operations Leadership and representatives from multiple functions supporting the Business Unit.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 2+ years of professional/military experience, Master's Degree with 1 years of professional/military experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong desire to become an effective leader in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to support a variety of production shifts (first, second, or third shift, and occasional weekends) based on the assignment and current and future production schedules.
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an operations and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing cost and schedule.
  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of MRP.
  • Basic understanding of EVMS and CAM functions.
  • Government contracting and fixed price production experience.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • US Naval experience in the operation or maintenance of Marine Machinery.
  • Military experience.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated Manufacturing Operations management experience managing critical production hardware (SQCDM).

Salary Range: $92,600 USD - $138,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
